About us
At West Coast Swing Blackfoot, we are committed to providing high quality Swing and Social/Nightclub Dance instruction to East Idaho residents at an affordable price. We are trained teachers, hoping to enhance our local dance scene by sharing our knowledge about “Classic American Ballroom”, commonly known as Social Dancing, with a focus on West Coast Swing, a modern swing dance which is danced to popular modern music.
Our instructors, Jeremy and Sydnie Powell, teach many styles of lead/follow social dancing and have teachers’ training from a variety of institutions, including the Golden State Dance Teachers’ Association, which provides many of the tools we use to help you learn West Coast Swing, an exciting and complicated dance.
Our classes will be in a group format, and changing partners is a core part of learning to lead or follow, so individuals are welcome as well as any couples who are willing to dance with other members of the class.
